A Mississippi-born writer, Seaera, has a deep passion for character-driven stories. Her work, geared towards adults, focuses on Southern culture, heritage, familial dynamics, mental health, heritage, and personal transformation. Currently pursuing a BA in Creative Writing at Southern New Hampshire University, Seaera wrote a script for a short film, The Trip, which has been favorably reviewed, and her poetry collection has been praised for its distinct voice and style. With a range of experience in various genres of writing, Seaera possesses a knack for fluid storytelling and creating singular narratives.
Her future goal is to complete her debut novel, a blend of a mystery and a thriller exploring the themes of generational trauma and identity through a speculative lens. She plans to submit to publishers like Tor Books, while also exploring opportunities for publication in emerging online platforms. She is currently seeking literary representation to help guide her novel toward traditional publishing. Also, she wants to build a body of work that blends emotional realism with surreal elements and eventually publish a collection of short stories. She intends to further experiment with hybrid forms and explore writing under a pseudonym for genre fiction projects. Her writing is rooted in the nuances of Southern life and small communities, and through this perspective, she hopes to bring something new to the world of literature.
